BOAT SHOW SEASON IS ALMOST HERE

Updated: Aug 11, 2023

In just five weeks' time 55,000 yachting enthusiasts from around the world will descend on the city of Cannes (12-17 September) for what is informally known as the start of boat show season followed by Monaco Yacht Show for its 32nd edition (27-30 September)

Industry veterans will know that commercial travel during this time can be a gamble. Many of the boat show events that took place in Europe during 2022 were plagued by delays and cancellations, so this year why not avoid the crowds and charter a private jet with AK Private Jets instead?

We can help to arrange a seamless end-to-end journey for your business or clients well ahead of September to avoid headaches and allow you to make the most of your time.

The yachting industry has experienced an unprecedented first half of the year. The new build sector has been able to celebrate some impressive launches, including the 109m M/Y ‘Seven Seas’ valued at $250 million and allegedly owned by Steven Spielberg, and the 127m S/Y ‘Koru’ estimated at $500 million owned by Jeff Bezos. According to Boat International more than 1.5 billion in second hand yacht sales has been secured so far.

The ‘megayacht’ sector isn’t the only corner of the market with reason to celebrate. In the Italian city of Viareggio, where about 1/5 of all superyachts in the world are made, yacht building giants such as The Italian Sea Group, Sanlorenzo and Ferretti all saw sales rise year-on-year. According to reports, all three yards now have backlogs worth well over €1bn.

Talk to us today to secure your private jet & helicopter charter for this year's Yacht Show and benefit from complimentary concierge service from AK LifeStyle.
